Bedouin Camp in sunny coastal town of Dahab
Marine Garden is a Bedouin Camp, a unique type of accommodation found only in the Sinai region of Egypt. It is ideal for the independent minded backpacker as we offer low prices, independency, and a truly laid-back atmosphere. Our camp is at the seafront in the Lighthouse area of Dahab and has unobstructed views of the Red Sea.
The owners have worked hard to preserve the traditional Bedouin flavour of the camp. It is one of the few authentic camps left in the town. The emphasis is on partnership and sociability rather than on hard-line business.
Travel In Sinai
Dahab is the perfect place from which to explore the Sinai, in particular the monastery and the village of Saint Catherine and Mount Sinai. It is easy to reach the major local destination of Sharm El Sheikh with its international airport and there are regular transport links to Cairo.
Easy going life style
At Marine Garden, away from the busy centre of the town, you can relax and chill out at your own pace. The camp is right on the sea front, so you can relax on the beach and enjoy the clear skies and unobstructed view across the water to the coastal mountains of nearby Saudi Arabia.
Access to facilities
But the camp is far from being isolated - situated just a few minutes' walk away from the Lighthouse, one of the town's main diving hubs and transport centres. So getting around couldn't be easier. All the centre's shops and restaurants are within easy reach by foot. And the Bedouin village of Asalah is close by too. Here you can experience the day to day life of the local residents. Dahab has a predominantly Bedouin native population and a truly international group of long term foreigners.
If you are looking for accommodation beyond the backpacker option then try Hotel Jowhara, our sister hotel in the Mashraba area of Dahab.
